As any good organization would, the United States Pirate Party has an eye towards the future of the party. Not just next year or the next election cycle, but often we try to think 10-20 years down the line.
As such, it is good and necessary to have a vehicle to foster the next generation of Pirates.
Young Pirates USA (YPUSA) is the youth wing of the US Pirate Party. Anyone aged 13-25 is considered a “young pirate”, with 18-25 year olds being considered “college-aged pirates”.
Due to the rules of the Pirate National Committee, state reps must be 18 or older. This provides young pirates a means to support pirate politics in the United States.

The captain of Young Pirates USA must be within the college-aged group to be eligible to be captain. This provides the PNC a liaison between the activities of YPUSA and can communicate our goals to our youth wing.
The current co-captains of YPUSA are Jack Leisey & Lily Boyt.
YPUSA plans to provide meaningful ways for young pirates to contribute. Events and projects will be announced on the main USPirates website with the tag “YPUSA”.
